Located in an urban area, this single family detached house was built in 1912. After decades of neglect the house was in total disrepair requiring an overhaul of the electrical, plumbing and complete gut of the kitchen and bathroom. The owners, working with a tight budget, kept other areas of the home where possible with only cosmetic updates. The kitchen and bathroom were modernized with all new millwork, appliances and fixtures. This charming house and backyard garden were then filled with family heirlooms, repurposed furniture and accessories. Bringing the house in on budget was a feat for the designers.
